Strategic Planning

Provide strategic direction with regard to all IT aspects.
Develop, define and disseminate clear positioning and messaging for the firm.
Develop the IT department and business development components of the firm’s annual business plan.
Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness.

IT Policy Manual

Understand the business objectives and develop policies and procedures within the firm to meet the business objectives;
Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures.
Implement and update policies and procedures;
Develop and modernize IT handbook;
Oversee compliancy of implemented policy and procedures within the firm.

Software & Hardware Maintenance

Oversee and maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.
Oversee the management of information technology and computer systems within the firm.
Oversee, plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations.
Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems at all times.
Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy.
Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time.
Audit systems and assess their outcomes on a regular basis.
Preserve assets, information security and control structures.
Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems.
Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software

Inventory

Oversee and verify hardware and software inventory.
Oversee, maintain and replenish inventory (IT related equipment).
Review and oversee the coordination of various suppliers/vendors for all IT related equipment.
Oversee and ensure required stocks are always available for IT related equipment.

Leadership skills

Manage the flow of day-to-day operations.
Oversee and maintain office services and efficiency.
Delegate tasks’ and set clear and realistic deadlines.
Review and share regular operation system reports with management.
Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages.
Continuously analyse current process, technologies, and vendors to identify areas of improvement.

Key Requirements:

Graduate with a bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, information systems or a related field from a reputed University
Minimum of 6 to 7 years’ experience in a similar capacity with a reputed law firm, legal department, legal consultancy or professional services firm with strong information technology background.
It is essential that the employee has excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English. (Arabic is preferred).
