Senior Technician Required in Dubai - Dubai

Work from engineering blueprints, samples, maintenance orders, work instructions to install various types of tooling and fixtures in the work centres.
Make calculations and write programs for CNC milling centers and CNC horizontal lathes to fabricate components or parts as indicated on the engineering specifications when required.
Work independently to troubleshoot and resolve issues concerning machining operations, tools, materials and CNC programs.
Perform secondary machining operations on components when required.
Insert computer programs into CNC work centers and CNC horizontal lathes.
Set and adjust machine speeds, depth of cut, feeds and programs, documenting the changes as required.
Process the first piece through the initial run, analyzing the results and making critical adjustments to the tooling, programs and process parameters of the work centres.
Undertake basic setup and operating activities for the ‘Flame Spray Metalizing’ machine, understanding the working parameters of various base metals for metallizing.
Assist the Supervisor, Sheet Metal and Machining to prepare/update all fabrication related documentation including work accomplished, man-hours consumed and material used.
Support the training of lower-level machinists by answering questions, resolving operating difficulties and reviewing complex work assignments.
Comply with all safety, housekeeping and environmental directives.
Maintain all equipment by undertaking all user preventive maintenance requirements.
Ensure all issued tools, uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is accounted for, maintained and secured.
Maintain the confidentiality and security of all company information.
Support other members of the Fabrication Workshop in fulfilling their roles.

Experience and Education:

A high school diploma is required, a college diploma or basic machine shop certification is preferred.
A minimum of two years of experience performing various programming for precision machining is required; in a manufacturing industry or in the automotive industry is preferred

Key Skills:

Must have minimum two years of experience as a CNC operator.
Must have minimum of one year in a supervisory position.
Previous military or automotive industry experience is an advantage.
A broad knowledge of machining techniques and the ability to perform advanced setup operations is preferred.
Must be able to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings/schematics.
